Structural Calculations & Beam Design

Structural calculations are an essential requirement in securing Building Control Approval. It is important that they are fully understood by your builder to ensure that the resulting construction is structurally sound.

We provide structural designs and calculations ranging from complex roof support configurations and multi-storey apartment designs through to single beam/ lintel support and pier design for safe wall removal.

Structural Calculations will generally be required if you are considering:

 

  • Loft Conversion

  • Basement conversion

  • Building an extension

  • Creating an opening through a wall to create an openplan living space

  • New build property development

If your project is a new build then you may require both structural calculations and foundation design.
